Francisca Gómez Baeza. PhD student in sociology at the University of Washington (Seattle, United States). Master in Sociology by the same university, and master in Public Policy by the Department of Economics at Universidad de Chile. B.A and professional degree in Psychology from Universidad de Chile.
Her research interests include: repression and social control; prison abolitionism, racial capitalism, feminisms; data colonialism, political economy of surveillance, imperialism, and data science.
She has participated in different investigations on the Chilean prison system, attitudes towards punishment, criminalization of migrants, and new technologies for surveillance.
