Damián Gálvez G. Social Anthropologist, Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano. Master in Anthropology, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology, Lateinamerika Institut, Freie Universität Berlin. He was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Latin American Studies, Columbia University, USA, and the Ibero-American Institute, Germany. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies (CIIR), Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (ANID-FONDAP-1522A0003). He is part of the editorial team of Pléyade. Revista de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales. He is co-author of the book Jorge Teillier, amigo intemporal. Aproximaciones a fotografías de Patricia García Villarroel (Liquen, 2021); and co-editor of the book Golpes a la memoria. Escritos sobre la postdictadura chilena (TEGE, 2019). His main lines of research are interethnic relations in Latin America, postcolonial studies and the writing of Mapuche and Chilean poets.
