En la presente línea se invita a reflexionar críticamente la producción intelectual de autores/as marxistas, clásicos y contemporáneos, canónicos y heterodoxos, desde sus registros más abstractos y teóricos hasta sus relaciones con las luchas sociales y sus tareas políticas. Invitamos con fuerte énfasis a presentar trabajos que problematicen las relaciones entre el marxismo y las expresiones teóricas de movimientos históricos tales como el feminismo, las luchas antirracistas y contra el colonialismo, explorando sus tensiones y diálogos abiertos. Asimismo, convocamos a discutir la historia del marxismo en América Latina y su vinculación con los movimientos sociales de la región desde categorías como las de recepción, hibridez, barroquismo, transculturalidad, afinidades electivas, (des)encuentros, territorialización, u otras. Por cuanto las condiciones históricas latinoamericanas (y los intentos por categorizarlas) exigen aún más a la estructura conceptual y analítica del marxismo, resulta una problemática fundamental para entender sus operaciones en áreas geográficas distintas a las de su origen europeo. Finalmente, hacemos un llamado a la presentación de trabajos que profundicen en las formas de apropiación y traducción del marxismo desde campos como las ciencias sociales, las humanidades, el arte o la religión, entre otras.
